TelStar Capabilities Statement
This Capabilities Statement demonstrates the ability of TelStar to effectively deliver on-demand Information Technology (IT), Contingent Staffing and Managed Services.
We are a minority-owned, veteran-owned, Small Disadvantaged Business certified, and formerly Small Business Administration certified 8(a) graduated firm, (6/94 to 6/03) that has been in business since 1979. We maintain a strong regional and national presents from our headquarters and regional offices located in Idaho.
For nearly 30 years, TelStar has provided advanced IT services to a diverse base of clients in both the private and public sectors, with particular emphasis on State and Federal Government, and Department of Energy (DOE) contracts. We have experience with a broad range of other government agencies, high-tech industry, environmental and engineering firms, military installations, medical institutions, and other industries. Representative clients include Boise Cascade Corporation, J.R. Simplot Company, Nevada EG&G Nuclear Test Site, Reynolds Electrical & Engineering Company, State of Idaho’s offices of Governor and Attorney General, and U.S. Navy.
Our depth and breadth of experience, responsive customer service, flexibility, and strong project and account management techniques help set us apart from others in the field. We have done this work as PRIME, Subcontractor, and through Teaming Agreements, and TelStar works cohesively under all of these contracting vehicles. We can also work in and have received clearances to work in secured environments.
We currently provide IT services to CH2M-WG Idaho, LLC (CWI), at INL under the FST – CST NT Support contract. We began work on this contract in February 2006, with options until 2012. The current value is $2,149,000 per year. This contract demonstrates our ability to provide IT staff augmentation services. For 13 consecutive years, TelStar has provided IT support for various other contracts, including BEA; CWI (current client); Bechtel BWXT,Lockheed Martin (LMITCO); and Westinghouse (WINCO). The cumulative dollar value of these contracts to date is approximately $8.5 million.
TelStar provides a broad range of on-demand IT services. Among these are IT staff augmentation, managed services, custom programming, software development, network support, field support, help-desk support, program application and development, system integration solutions, and project management. Products
TelStar has developed HazEWin©, a proprietary, user-friendly and full-featured software program that assists companies in managing hazardous materials, chemical inventories, and other items. HazEWin© facilitates compliance with regulations governing the storage, use, and disposal of hazardous substances. It can be used to generate a full suite of reports on chemical and substance inventory. HazEWin© can serve as an automated, centralized data center, and can be used to quantify and control daily hazardous substance processing activities. It can also be used for the inventory management of non-hazardous materials.
TelStar has sold HazEWin© to commercial businesses and government agencies across the country. As a part of these arrangements, we routinely follow up sales by redeveloping and supporting the current version of the software in order to meet the needs of our Customers. Telstar also provides a full line of Hardware and Equipment where needed for a job.
Quality Management
We offer warranty and a guarantee programming to our software clients. We make sure the software works to fit our clients’ particular needs and systems. Also, we use accepted Total Quality Management and advanced data-processing methods and adhere to ISO-9000 standards.
