Fair Housing Accessibility Training

The U.S. Department of Housing an Urban Development will present a free Fair Housing Accessibility Training called HUD's Fair Housing Accessibility First Training on July 8, 2009, from 8:30 am to 5:00pm. The event will be held at the Red Lion Hotel, 475 River Parkway in Idaho Falls. Local sponsors of the event are the City of Idaho Falls and the Greater Idaho Falls Association of REALTORS. The emphasis for this program will be on Design and Construction Requirements of the Fair Housing Act, Accessible Routes and Making Housing Accessible Through Accommodations and Modifications.The event is open to anyone interested in accessible and adaptable housing and a better understanding of making housing more livable for all.Idaho Falls is one of only 15 cities in the country to be selected for this event. Interested parties need to register for the event at www.fairhousingfirst.org, clock on Calendar and select the Idaho Falls event.
